Kuruvi - A loud chirp
IndiaGlitz [Saturday, April 19, 2008]
Dharani, Vijay and Vidyasagar share an excellent rapport between them. It was evident in 'Gilli', which had a catchy music and went on to become a blockbuster. Now the trio comes together again for ‘Kuruvi’. Obviously expectations are high on the movie. The audio of the movie promises to live up to all the hype and hoopla. The album has six tracks including theme music. Vidyasagar has managed to come up with songs, which are bundle of energy and foot-tapping. The likes of Yogi, Dr Burn, Anuradha Sreeram, Sangeeth Haldipur and Vidyasagar himself have lent their voice. Produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, ‘Kuruvi’ has songs which are foot-tapping and energetic. Happy New Year ( Sunidhi Chauhan, Yogi, Dr Burn) Music composer Vidyasagar makes a heady start. A perfect opening in the album, it sets the right mood for the listeners. Acclaimed rap singers Yogi and Dr Burn render the song in the company of Sunidhi Chauhan. Penned by Na Muthukumar, it has a pacy music with addition rhythm. The rap interludes in between are very catchy. Dandana Dara (Sangeeth Haldipur) A perfect 'kuthu' song. Oozing with energy all through, the song has everything a front-bencher would jump and shake his legs in theatres. With Vijay on screen, such high-pitched song is sure to woo audience. Sangeeth Haldipur is a perfect foil to render the song. A lyric by Kabilan, which glorifies the hero, is adequate. Thaen Thaen (Udit Narayan, Shreya Ghosal) It is a soft romantic number. Udit's open-throated voice in the company of Shreya Ghosal's mesmerizing way of rendering of the duet sticks to our hearts immediately. This song sticks to a pattern. It flows free and smooth from the beginning. The soft beats and good use of guitar in the interludes are good. Yugabharathy's lyrics are noteworthy. Paalaanadhu Paalaanadhu (Vidyasagar, Rajalakshmi) Vidyasagar has tried to marry East and the West. The song begins with typical Chennai percussion instruments. However it shifts gears to take a western beat with Vidyasagar and Rajalakshmi, going all guns to render a song which is sure to find a place in all dance floors. In between the Punjabi Bhangra music is used well by Vidyasagar. Pa Vijay has penned the song. Mozha Mozhanu (KK , Anuradha Sreeram) It is customary for every Vijay film to have a peppy song which will be laced with fast beats and racy tune. Mozha Mozhannu is one such number which Anuradha Sreeram and KK rendering the number with amazing energy. Pa Vijay's youthful lyric gets subdued in the heavy music of Vidyasagar. But the use of additional percussion instruments and racy rhythms are the major highlights of the song. Download Link Size 715.54 MB (750,298,504 bytes)

Arasangam - An engrossing thriller
IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, May 14, 2008]
Congrats Captain Vijayakanth for coming up with a good show in his milestone movie. ‘Arasangam’, the 150th film of Vijayakanth, directed by Madhesh is a whiff of fresh air in Tamil cinema which is full of with commercial pot-boilers. Vijayakanth in the company of Madesh has come out with a thriller which is sure to delight not only his fans but also audience of all sections. Quite unlike other Vijayakanth movies, ‘Arasangam’ has no punch line dialogues from Vijayakanth, no big song heaping laurels on the hero or clichéd comedy sequences. Madesh has struck to the basics of making an engrossing thriller and succeeds in his attempt. Though Vijayakanth has donned Khakhi in several films before, in ‘Arasangam’ he plays an instructor in a police training college where in he is brawny as well as brainy. He lends solidity to his role and underplays. He deserves a pat for not tempting to overdo his role. He unfolds the mystery behind the missing of his colleague cum brother-in-law Manoj (Biju Menon). The screen presence of Vijayakanth as a police officer is set to leave you spellbound. Navneet Kaur, who plays the wife of Vijayakanth, has no big role to perform, while Sheryl Brindo lends a helping hand to the film. However, the real show- stealer is Biju Menon, who springs a surprise in two different roles. In a nutshell, the movie is about Arivarasu (Vijayakanth), who leaves for Canada to solve the mystery and he is shocked to find a master plan by an international terrorist gang to kill all the intellectuals in India as part of their plot to check the country's growth. How he saves the country with the help of Canadian police officer Lara (Sheryl Brindo) forms the crux of the film. A pet theme of Vijayakanth and hence he enjoys every part of the film. He is at his ease all through the scene. Especially in the stunt sequences, Captain walks away with applause. Srikanth Deva's brisk background score adds pep to the film. All credit to Madesh, who has shown care in every frame to ensure that ‘Arasangam’ is different from the routinue Vijayakanth films. The suspense and drama elements in ‘Arasangam’ are sure to keep the audience at the edge of their seats. For those who enjoy suspense thrillers, ‘Arasangam’ is the right destination. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ztlukcc5 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=qxgwnov7 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9lltutzq http://www.megaupload.com/?d=h1zwu9am

Magesh, Saranya, Matrum Palar - Youthful extravaganza
IndiaGlitz [Monday, March 31, 2008]
| After making a splashing debut in ‘Thottal Poo Malarum’, Sakthi, son of veteran director P Vasu, is gearing up with his next. The movie is titled uniquely as ‘Mahesh, Saranya Mattrum Palar’. As the title suggests, he plays a happy-go-lucky youngster Mahesh and Sandhya plays Saranya, his ladylove. Produced by Kool Productions, the movie is directed by V Ravi, a former associate of director Lingusamy. Sakthi is happy to be part of the movie. He says, “After ‘Thottal Poo Malarum’, I had several scripts coming my way. However I was very choosy and wanted my next to be more youthful and enterprising. When Ravi narrated the story, I was so impressed that I readily agreed to do it”. Ravi has written the story, screenplay and dialogues too for the film. According to Ravi, 'It is a youthful entertainer. Both Sakthi and Sandhya are young and vibrant. I feel they are apt to play the lead roles. It is a routine romantic story but narrated with a difference'. The highlight of the movie is its music by Vidyasagar. Says Ravi, “I am a great fan of Vidyasagar. When I decided to do a movie, I immediately decided to approach him. In spite of his busy schedule, he was kind enough to accept my offer. He happily accepted to compose music for the movie ‘Mahesh, Saranya, Mattrum Palar’.” Gunasekharan, who worked as associate to cinematographer R D Rajasekhar is cranking the camera. ‘Mahesh, Saranya Mattrum Palar’ is fast shaping up for an early release. Pandi Movie Review DVD Rip
Pandi - A commercial cocktail
IndiaGlitz [Friday, May 23, 2008]
| A commercial entertainer targetting front-bencher is ‘Pandi’. It has comedy, action and romance to lure the B and C audience. With Larencce oozing the right energy and Sneha and Namitha filling up the glamour quotient, ‘Pandi’ turns out to be an entertainer that is worth a watch. However the story line is wafer thin. It is a cliched and oft-repeated in Tamil cinema. A youth, who is ridiculed by his family for being callous and not caring, eventually turns out to be a responsible son taking care of the entire family. Director Rasu Madhuravan (who directed ‘Poomagal Oorvalam’ before) deserves a pat for not making a serious film though he has tried to showcase on mother-son sentiment towards the second half. Pandi (Larencce) does menial jobs in Dubai and saves every penny he earns and sends it to his family in Usilampatti. A flashback reveals that he was a carefree youth, who is often chided by his father (Nasser). His elder brother (Sreeman) is the blue-eyed boy of his father. However Pandi's mother (Saranya) showers all her love and affection on him. Pandi comes across Sneha, a cop’s daughter in the village and after a sequence of events romance blossoms between them. Meanwhile his family receives a shock as just a couple of days before Pandi's sister's wedding, Sriman runs away from the house with the money kept for the wedding. A dejected father is consoled by Pandi, who borrows money from a private money-lender and completes the wedding. Meanwhile, Sneha walks out of the house to enter wedlock with Pandi. Determined to payback the loan and help his family overcomes their financial constraint, Pandi decides to go abroad and work as conservancy staff. He manages to stabilize his family with his earnings. However on his return he is shocked to find his mother dead. Coming to know that it was no natural death, he decides to avenge the killers. Did he succeed in his mission forms the climax. Interestingly Tamil cinema has seen such storyline in the early 1980s itself. Madhuravan has taken one such and treated it with a swift screenplay. Larencce carries the entire burden in his shoulders and deliver his best. He dances, romances and does comedy with style. Sneha surprises everyone oozing glamour. Known for playing homely roles, she has decided to go for a skin show. It's a typical Namitha in ‘Pandi’ who appears in skimpy costumes for a couple of songs and disappears. Nasser and Saranya impress in their roles. Ganja Karuppu, Sriman and Illavarasu are adequate. Srikanth Deva's songs are loud and the remix Masimasam Alanna....is picturised in a glamorous way on Sneha and Larencce. All said, ‘Pandi’ is a masala entertainer that keeps the audience engaged. | Dasavatharam - A Prelude to what is in store |
IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, April 30, 2008]
After much waiting the prelude to the mega film 'Dasavadharam' happened with much celebrations during the audio launch of the film that was held in Chennai. The cast and crew prided in bringing a glimpse of what is to come to the eagerly waiting film fanatics. What follows is a curtain raiser to the film that is sure to challenge all the movies released so far in terms of technical as well as aesthetic aspects. Just when we thought we had seen it all, every possible avatar an actor can take; Kamal Haasan spellbinds his audience and critics once again with his upcoming project 'Dasavathaaram'. Portraying ten different uniquely etched characters, he brings each of them to life with his unmatched versatility. He has also penned the racy screenplay himself. K.S. Ravi Kumar, a director who has the pulse of the audience in his hand, has directed this film. He has quoted that "the audience expects a lot from this movie and it has come out well enough to live up to that." 'Dasavadharam' interestingly has two music directors. Himesh Reshamiya has scored the music for songs which have come out very well. They are a rage among the fans at the moment. The background music for the film has been scored by Devi Sri Prasad. This is what Kamal Haasan had to say to audience about watching 'Dasavadharam'. "I think, basically I am a cinema fan. And I have given you what I would like to see as a sensible cinema fan. So, I think your intelligence will not be insulted, your time will not be wasted, and you will really enjoy this film." Asin and Mallika Sherawat have acted opposite Kamal in this film with a special appearance from the beautiful Jaya Pradha. The art direction has been taken care of by the award winning Thotta Tharani. When things start going wrong in a synthetic bio-weapons laboratory in Washington DC, various international organizations become players in a global cloak-and-dagger game. The Whitehouse and CIA in the USA, P.M.'s office in India, environmentalists, terrorist organizations and various others converge and become part of a global hunt – some inadvertently and some intentionally. Starting in the 12th Century AD at the Chidambaram temple complex in South India, the film will take the viewers on a heady roller-coaster ride across time and continents. The master storyteller, in an intriguing screenplay, weaves the chaos theory and the multiple chain of events that follow into one cohesive, thrilling narrative. Spinning the story of 'Dasavathaaram' is as difficult and arduous a task as explaining the 10 different characters played by Dr. Kamal Haasan; yet another one-of-a kind-attempt in world cinema by the thespian. Told with panache and humor, 'Dasavathaaram' does not take the IQ and the aesthetics of the Indian film going public lightly. It is one of the very few movies which will deliver what it promises, and a little more! A film that is bound to set a new benchmark in cinematic excellence and in box-office. Download Links [soon]

Arai Enn 305il Kadavul (2008) Tamil Movie Download - PDVD RIP
Arai Enn 305il Kadavul - Tamil Movie Synopsis:
This is the second film directed by Simbudevan after "Imsai Irasan 23-am Pulikesi" which was a smash hit. Shankar's S Pictures is the producer of both these films.
Prakashraj and comedians Ganja Karuppu and Santhanam are featured in the lead roles. Jyothirmayi and Madhumitha play the heroines.
The film with comedy at its core has been made keeping children in mind.
The theme is that all those who live for others are regarded as "Kadavul' (God). Real life situations which have a bearing on this theme constitute the story. It is so packaged that children will have real fun watching it.
S Pictures is presenting this '100 per cent comedy' fest when children have been going without films specially made for them.
Ganja Karuppu and Santhanam play the youths undergoing untold hardships. Prakashraj helps them in their difficulties appearing in the guise of Maha Vishnu.
As the two comedians being the heroes, they have reduced their body weight and changed their looks for the roles.
Prakashraj appears in scenes set in the mythological milieu that calls for clever tricks, magical powers and the use of supernatural forces to make strange things happen.
According to sources, it was a tough job for the make-up artistes who worked almost six hours daily on the 'Kadavul get-up' of Prakashraj during the shooting.
The cast includes Ilavarasu, M.S. Bhaskar, Madanbap, Rajesh, 'Thalaivasal' Vijay, V.S. Raghavan, VMC Haneefa, Periyardasan, Delhi Ganesh, Muthukaalai 'Kaadal' Sukumar and Kuyili.
Since importance is given to entertaining children, the film consists of 30 per cent computer graphics by 'Indian Artist Group" which did the CG for the blockbuster "Sivaji" the Boss".
The music by Vidyasagar has variety. It is a bouquet of 'rap', 'western' 'folk' and 'melody'. The lyrics are by Muthulingam, Kabilan, Pa Vijay , Na Muthukumar and Yugabharathi.
